I have been a paying member of Kimkins since July 9, 2007 and have lost 35 pounds. I can not put into words what this site has done for me. It has given me so much more confidence and faith in myself.
Like so many other people on the site, I have tried ALL the diets there have ever been, including stomach stapling, back in the 80's, when it was the new thing to do. It did not work for me an only made me so sick, that I wished that I was dead.
Before signing up for Kimkins, I was trying the Hoodia pills. I had taken them for about 4 months and still had not lost 10 pounds. These pills are not cheap and were costing me about 50.00 a month.
Well the day that I was going to go to the health store and get a new bottle of Hoodia, was the day that I can across the Kimkins site, again. I had seen it before, but really dismissed it out of my mind. After reading about it for a couple hours, I decided to spend the 60.00 on Kimkins, rather than the Hoodia that month. what did I have to lose? Really the hoodia wasn't working anyway.
Since joining, life is so much different for me. I am more active and outgoing. My work situation has improved.
I am sure that there are people out there that take the diet to extreme's. That is their problem and not the Kimkins site itself. We are all responsible for ourselves. Kimkins just merely gave us the information we needed to lose the weight and it is up to us to use it safely.
Any diet can be unsafe if it is taken to extreme's. Not one day do I ever regret paying that 60.00.
By the way I am a 60 year old female who works in the health care field. Thanks to Kimmers I believe that I will be able to keep working a long time. Some of the younger people in my office are amazed at my energy and cant believe that I am 60 and are in awe at my weight loss.
For me being a member of Kimkins, gives me access to so many friends that are fighting the same battle as me. I spend many hours on the computer with these friends. If this site closes down, many people's lives will be affected.
If you dont like Kimkins, thats fine. Please dont try and take the site down because of that. Just leave and move on to what works for you.
